Khamica Bingham is a professional sprinter, 2016 Olympian, 2-time Pan Am Games medalist and 2-time national record holder who understands the power of resiliency and overcoming challenges and barriers. Although Bingham rose to the top through accomplishments, she experienced racism in her sport after being denied a magazine cover for “not fitting the look”. She used the rejection as fuel and made it her mission to normalize black beauty in the media, increase black representation and educate on colourism.
